Milestones in Teik.it's Story
Teik.it began with a simple idea: promoting sustainability and community engagement. Over the years, we have grown into a hub for exchanging resources and knowledge on a circular economy. Each milestone not only reflects our achievements but also showcases our commitment to nurturing a thriving community.
May 7th 2023 - Launch of our 1st Swap Shop
The Swap Shop opens in Ostia Lido, allowing everyone to exchange goods without money, encouraging sustainability and solidarity.
Swapshop at Rome Future Week
In 2024, our first-ever Swap Shop at Rome Future Week in Piazza Venezia was an incredible success! We demonstrated that by giving new life to forgotten items, we could build a stronger, more sustainable community.
Hummus Town - Partnership Programs
Collaboration with local businesses and International organisations like FAO Staff Coop strengthens our network, amplifying our impact on community sustainability. Hummustown is a non-profit organization born with the aim of providing a decent income for Syrian refugees seeking asylum in Italy.
